New Year Starts With A Bang!
2025 has started with the exciting announcement of Amy Williams MBE as our first ever Foundation Ambassador.
Most people will associate Amy with the high adrenalin and extremely skilful winter sport of Skeleton. This is where Amy gained global recognition by achieving the incredible feat of winning Olympic Gold at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Although Amy was born in Cambridge she very much classes herself as a ‘Bath girl’ and was educated at Beechen Cliff School, Hayesfield School and University Of Bath. Amy, who still lives locally and is a mum of two, is passionate about helping the community thrive and believes that sport has the ability to teach everyone values that extend beyond the sporting arena. Furthermore Amy is fervent in the benefits of exercise for your mental wellbeing not just your physical wellbeing.
The partnership with Amy as our Ambassador is an honour for the Foundation. Having an elite athlete who has reached the pinnacle of their sporting discipline, and is globally recognised for their sporting achievements is incredible for our organisation. We are very grateful to have Amy as part of Bath City FC Foundation and we can’t wait to start working with her.
Amy will be supporting the Foundation in helping us engage with the community outside of our current reach. Keep up to date by following our social media channels and website for future announcements and a more in depth piece on Amy.
