Meet Our Starting 11

Our fundraisers are getting ready for this years Bath Half

Our Starting 11 is nearly complete! We just need a few signatures to dry before we can announce the full 11 representing us in the 2025 Bath Half Marathon. Whilst our participants have set their personal targets, we as a Foundation feel their efforts deserve more recognition. We would love our runners efforts to raise £11,000 for Bath City FC Foundation which will go directly to our community work. This could fund more sessions for us to deliver in the community, start new projects and groups without having to wait for funding, and so much more besides this.

One area we would like to improve for our staff and visitors is making our Foundation office more welcoming. We have a list of jobs we would like to do including making one space into a usable meeting room. Having this space would mean a lot to our staff as being able to host small meetings with our stakeholders is a little difficult in the space as it is.

You can donate by clicking on the Bath Half logo above, visiting our fundraisers page (link below) and selecting who you would like donate to or by clicking on the red donate button at the top of our page.

Club Legend Jim Rollo was the first person to sign up. As we have mentioned before this was without anyone from the Club or Foundation approaching him. His love for the club and community is the reason he is taking up the challenge, Jim is heading up a group including Foundation staff, fans of the club and individuals that have connected with the Foundation through us entering this event. It is the first time running this distance for a lot of our fundraisers, and they have a wide range of reasons why they want to run for us.

Geoff Stevens the Foundation CEO had this to say about the fundraising event

“It’s fantastic that, for the first time, we have the opportunity for individuals to run on behalf of the Foundation at the Bath Half Marathon 2025. Good luck to all those running on our behalf and a big thank you to those that have already donated and intend to donate. The work we do often goes unnoticed but we do our best to provide opportunities for everyone in our community to be involved and hopefully this will raise awareness.”

Join us in wishing them luck in the run and fundraising efforts. Every pound you can donate will help motivate them around the course.
