Dennis on Air!

On Armistice Day 2021, Radio Bath FM presenter Simon McNeill-Ritchie welcomed a special guest into the studio on Lower Bristol Road. In the Reconnecting Twerton group we are lucky to have as a member 97 year old Normandy veteran, Dennis Lanham. Following the solemn paying of his respect and remembrance at the annual ceremony at the St.Michael’s Church war memorial, Dennis appeared live on Simon’s radio broadcast to be asked about his recollections and feelings as regards his participation in the allied campaign to liberate Normandy and France in 1944. With typical clarity and eloquence, Dennis held Simon, and no doubt the listeners, captivated with the tale he had to tell. You can click on the link below to hear it.
